WHY do cats always land on their feet?
Cats are born with the ability to land on their feet, which is rooted in their reflexes. This ability begins to develop in kittens at around 3-4 weeks of age, and is fully developed by the time they are 6-7 weeks old. Cats are able to land safely thanks to their flexible spines, lack of collarbones, and well-developed vestibular apparatus, which helps them orient their bodies as they fall.
