WHY don't your eyes freeze in winter?

 The body has a specialized thermoregulation system. Blood flow to the eyes increases when the temperature drops to bring them extra heat and prevent them from freezing. The salt in the eye's moisturizing fluid helps keep eyes from freezing even in extreme cold.
