WHY is a zebra black with a white stripe and not vice versa?

Most people think that zebras are white horses with black stripes because of their white bellies. However, scientists have discovered that this is not true. They asked a tricky question and found that zebras are actually black with white stripes, even when they're embryos. This is because black is the main pigment, and the white stripes are areas where this pigment is absent.

This new information goes against what we previously believed about zebras. It shows the importance of asking questions and researching to learn the truth.
